How does all this work?

All American Homes and Stratford Homes work through a network of independent builders. They are actually sub-contractors to First Quality Builders. At First Quality Builders we can help arrange complete general contracting for you. All you have to do is move in or we can simply act as project managers to help you find the qualified sub contractors necessary to complete one of our homes.

How do I get pricing

First, we recommend you secure a lot and pick a plan. We recommend selecting picking the lot first,  only because often lot constraints dictate the type of floor plan you can build. You can certainly get estimates before you have a site, but final pricing is done by the builder after assessing the building site.

Can I do some of the work myself?

Yes, we can provide as little or as much assistance finishing the house as you need and your lender will allow. Our crews are required to set the home on the foundation to keep the warranty valid - other than that its up to the homeowner. Most lenders will allow you to act as your own general contractor because the quality standards and cost controls are so much better than with site built construction.

Can I make changes to the plans?

Yes, although there are some changes we can't accommodate, between Stratford Homes and All American Homes we can build  almost any floor plan you design.

When should I contact a builder?

As soon as you know that you want to build. We can provide guidance about the building process. Through our real estate affiliation we can search your market area and help you find a building site. If needed we can help you design a plan to fit that site.
